Palestinian Red Crescent:

Health services in southern Gaza will soon come to total halt

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society has warned that the health services at Al-Amal Hospital in south of the Gaza Strip will soon stop due to lack of spare parts and fuel for generators.
Health services in southern Gaza will soon come to total halt
The society called in a statement on Sunday evening on all partners and international organizations to exert pressure to oblige Israel to bring in new power generators to the Gaza Strip, and to provide the society with the oils and spare parts it needs, so that it can continue providing its health and humanitarian services.

It stressed that the halt of the work of electric generators will lead to the halt of surgical operations, life-saving devices and health services, and will further deteriorate the health system in the Gaza Strip.

According to the media sources, 23 out of 38 hospitals in Gaza are not functioning as the regime’s genocidal war on the besieged strip marks one year.

Nearly 1,000 Palestinian healthcare workers have lost their lives as a result of Israeli atrocities, crippling Gaza’s healthcare system further.

The destruction of medical facilities and the loss of personnel have critically impaired the capacity to deliver essential care to an increasing number of casualties, worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
