South African lawyers have submitted a 750-page document to the ICJ on Monday, the deadline set by the international tribunal to continue the case.
Some of this evidence included statements made by extremist Israeli officials and settlers calling for forced displacement of the Palestinians to other Arab states in a bid to expand Israeli settlements.
South African legal experts referred to the statements made at a last week meeting of the extremist Nachala Settlement Movement, which is led by far-right Israeli Zionist, Daniella Weiss.
South African lawyers said statements like those at the last week event entitled "Preparing to Settle in Gaza" offer "undeniable evidence" of Israel’s genocidal intent.
The team of lawyers and diplomats working on the case said they were "confident" the hundreds of pages of evidence gathered were sufficient to back their case.
South Africa resorted to the ICJ in late December accusing Israel of genocide in its more than year-long brutal war on Gaza.
In January, the court ordered Israeli regime to refrain from any acts that could fall under the 1948 Genocide Convention and to ensure its troops commit no genocidal acts against Palestinians.
Israeli regime has ignored these orders to continue its genocidal war against the besieged Gaza Strip which has killed over 43,000 people since 7 October 2023, most of them women and children.
At least 13 countries including Spain, Bolivia, Belgium, Turkey, Egypt, Mexico and Ireland have joined South Africa’s case at the ICJ.
