The head of Lebanon’s Association of Muslim Scholars stressed that protecting unity among Muslims and defending Palestine in face of the Israeli regime is a mission upon all Muslims.

Sheikh Qazi Hunaina, speaking at a Qur’anic meeting in Iran’s Qom province, highlighted importance of Palestine issue that has affected the entire West Asia region, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” More than 14 months of military confrontation will not push the people in Palestine and Lebanon to backtrack from their rights.”
The cleric referred to endeavors by the Arab states and the US administration to push for normalization of relations with the Israeli regime and said,” The Arab rulers are promoting the plan shamelessly; therefore, the importance of Operation al-Aqsa Flood is known better as it barred the normalization plot by Zionist Israel and some Arab rulers.”
Sheikh Qazi Hunaina noted that the Riyadh summit of the Arab states in support of Palestine had no resolution or specific outcome warning that the inaction of the Arab countries has emboldened the Israeli regime in the region.”
The head of the Lebanese group emphasized resistance as a necessity vowing that the Lebanese resistance will continue its support for the resistance movement in Gaza.
He hailed the resistance movements in Lebanon and the besieged Gaza for standing against Israeli aggression despite the loss of their commanders.
“During seven decades of promoting disunity among Islamic countries, western countries supported the Israeli regime”, he said and added,” All disagreements among Muslims were eliminated thanks to the resistance, empowered due to the supports by the Islamic Republic, as it will eventually eliminate Israeli regime.”
The Lebanese cleric called for Islamic solidarity and coordination against the hostile plots until the final victory is achieved.
