Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandchild and custodian of the mausoleum of late Imam Khomeini (RA) made the remarks in a meeting with the grand mufti of Croatia, Aziz Hasanovic in Tehran, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He warned against any sectarian view on the issues related to the Shia and Sunni Muslims as ‘poisonous’.
He said,” The Shia Iranians, regardless of any criticism, stood up in support of the Sunni community whole-heartedly.”
The cleric hailed Iran’s support for the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Khomeini called the ongoing condition in Gaza as number one issue in the world of Islam and reiterated efforts to revive the issue of Palestine for all Muslims.
He condemned Israel for making the best of the developments in Syria expressing hope that the future incidents will not turn to the benefit of the regime any more.
The grand mufti of Croatia, Aziz Hasanovic, heading a delegation of religious and cultural figures also lauded the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Palestine.
