Ayatollah Khamenei: “US will lead nowhere with threats”

The Leader made the remarks in an address at New Year meeting with Iranian people and officials, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Ayatollah Khamenei said,” The US and other countries should beware that if they have any ill intention regarding the Iranian nation, they will suffer hard blows.”

The Leader said,” We have never started a conflict but once anyone has ill intentions and begins a war with us, then he will suffer hard slaps.”

Ayatollah Khamenei also deplored the American and European politicians for calling the resistance fighters as alleged proxy forces of Iran and said,” The resistance forces and Yemeni nation are motivated by themselves and Iran does not need proxy forces.”

The Leader of Islamic Revolution noted,” In the battle between the right and the wrong, victory belongs to the right for which it will also pay the toll.”

Ayatollah Khamenei stressed,” Do not ever doubt that the outcome of resistance is failure for the enemy and the corrupt Zionist regime of Israel.”

Reviewing the highlights of events in the past year, the Leader referred to the loss of Iranian president Ebrahim Raeisi and the resistance front leaders as catastrophic moments.

Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the active participation of the Irnaian nation in funeral procession of late president Raeisi, the massive rallies of Islamic Revolution anniversary and also Friday prayer that followed martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The Leader also lauded the Iranian people for supporting the system despite economic issues calling on the nation and government to fulfill their responsibilities in order to materialize the motto of “investment for production”, as designated by the Leader in his New Year address.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted the doubled spiritual ambiance of the Persian New Year 1404 due to its coincidence with Qadr Nights calling on the cultural activists to maintain special attention to Nahjul Balagha, the book that compiles letters and advices by Imam Ali (AS).

The Leader holds New Year meeting with people from all walks of life at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad. This year, however, the meeting has been held in Tehran due to coincidence of Nowruz with the holy month of Ramadan.
