Leader Imam Khamena'i Special Representative to Lebanon, cleric Mohammad Yazbek, favored the twining between reform and resistance. He also came out for dialogue between the regime in Damascus and oppositionists. The cleric's utterances came during the Adha Feast sermon at Imam Ali Mosque in Baalbek.
He vowed to have hands of the corrupt and opportunists chopped off for corruption according to him, destroys while resistance and reform build sovereignty and independence of Lebanon. He exclaimed as to what premises the country should be built on and answered that only through sense of citizenship far from teaming up with the outside could we achieve a good homeland.
Yazbek criticized France and America for provoking unrest in Syria. He added that both super powers were responsible for bloodletting in Syria and that dialogue and reform must ultimately prevail in Syria.
The cleric concluded that reform and unity in the face of outside intervention only safeguard Syria.
