Hezbollah categorically denied accusations leveled against it of shelling Zabadani locality in Syria, saying these accusations are merely groundless, ridiculous and comical.

Hezbollah's denial came in a statement it issued on Wednesday, after certain sides of the Syrian opposition and specific Arab media institutions and internet websites insisted on accusing Hezbollah of shelling the area of Zabadani with katyusha rockets.
The Party considered these accusations as falling within the framework of orchestrated incitement attempts against the Party by these sides since few months.
In a relatet context to Hezbollah, Deputy Head of the party Executive Council, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk stressed that "all the plots woven against Iran are futile and will not deter it from confronting aggressions and supporting the resistance." Sheikh Qaouk made his statement during a tour in South Lebanon, where he accompanied Iran's Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister, Sayyed Mohammad Ali Husseini.
Moreover Qaouk saluted the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people, highlighting its supportive role to the resistance, liberation, and reconstruction of the properties "Israel" destroyed in several aggressions in South Lebanon.
