Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour on Thursday extolled Russia's position vis-a-vis Syria during his meeting with Russian ambassador to Lebanon, Alexandre Zasypkin.
"Foreign interference in Syrian affairs only leads to more internal complications and impedes the reform process," he said.
"Solution resides in holding dialogue, [deemed] the sole mean for Syria to exit the crisis and for the Syrian command to take decisive positions on the level of reforms," he corroborated.
Zasypkin, for his part, maintained that the continuity of Arab monitors work indeed paved the way for a loophole for crisis in Syria, under the patronage of the Arab League, with no foreign interference whatsoever.
"We will exert major efforts to encourage Syrian authorities to adopt firm measures in favor of bringing their obligations into effect," he said.
He eventually called all parties, including the opposition, to take part effectively in a wide and all-inclusive national dialogue.
