EuroMed Rights has referred to a report on five-fold increase in Israeli forces' killing of Palestinians this year following the green light by Tel Aviv officials, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The official website of EuroMed Rights has issued a field report on Israeli killing of 18 Palestinians in the first half of April, a majority of them carried out following remarks by Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett on Friday April 8 authorizing Israeli army to launch all-out war on what he described as terrorism.
EuroMed Monitor has also referred to killing of 47 Palestinians including eight children and two women by Israeli forces since beginning of 2022. The number shows five-time increase in the number of fatalities reported last year.
Al-Aqsa Mosque has also been the scene of Israeli violence last week as Tel Aviv forces stormed courtyards targeting Palestinian worshipers at the holy site.
Palestinian Red Crescent in its latest statement announced that 344 Palestinian worshipers injured and another 400 were detained during Friday attack by Israeli forces in the occupied al-Quds and the West Bank.
The Geneva-based Euro-Med Monitor has censured the decision to raid al-Aqsa Mosque and the worshipers as an instance for imprudence of decision makers and their enthusiasm to intensify the tensions.
The permission granted by Israeli officials to the army and intelligence to carry out operation "full freedom" has paved the way for them to abuse and kill Palestinian civilians at the military checkpoints in cities, rural areas and towns in the West Bank and east Jerusalem al-Quds over unjustifiable pretexts.
EuroMed Monitor noted that the increase in Palestinian killings is a result of the new policy authorizing Israeli troops to open fire on Palestinian youths and blamed Israeli politicians as those responsible for killing of Palestinians particularly the women and children killed by Israeli forces in cold blood.
Israeli prime minister Naftali Bennett had welcomed the so-called reforms saying," The new order permits Israeli forces to defend themselves."
Although the Open-Fire policy by Israeli army has left a long history of killing Palestinians without justifiable reasons, the new order made it still easier for the Israeli forces to kill people under the pretext of self-defense.
Consequently there has been a considerable rise in the number of annual killings. Five Palestinians have been killed in January, six others in February and the number has suddenly tripled to 18 people in March with the same number only in the beginning days of April.
EuroMed Monitor announced that among Palestinian deaths, 29 people including seven children and two women were killed without any reasons or any alleged role in violence.
At least eight shootings have happened in relation with alleged stabbing attacks by Palestinians all of whom have lost their lives due to the method by Israeli forces to leave their victims bleeding to death. According to the report those wounded have received no medical aids in breach of the international laws.
According to EuroMed Monitor Israeli persistence in using fatal weapons against civilians is the direct result of the domestic and international policy which excludes Israel from any form of punishment.
EuroMed Monitor has called on the UN institutes and mechanisms to take immediate action to protect civilians in the Palestinian lands and take serious steps to draw response over the brutal killings committed by Israelis.
The human rights organization has called on all sides to interfere for immediate end of Israeli attacks against al Aqsa Mosque and do not let the Tel Aviv regime continue provocations which might intensify the tension in other regions.
