In Madrid, protesters chanted slogans such as "Boycott Israel," "Not a war, but genocide," "Netanyahu is a criminal," and "Free Palestine," waving Palestinian flags in a show of solidarity.
A joint statement issued by the demonstrators called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, the withdrawal of occupation forces from the region, an end to the Israeli genocide against Palestinians, and the lifting of the blockade on Gaza.
The statement also urged governments worldwide to halt arms trade with Israel and impose sanctions on the Israeli government. It emphasized the Spanish government's responsibility to sever all political, diplomatic, economic, cultural, and sports ties with Israel.
The statement highlighted the plight of the Palestinian people, describing them as "colonized victims of ethnic cleansing and a system of apartheid."
Similar protests in other Spanish cities echoed these demands, with demonstrators urging an end to the Gaza violence and accountability for Israeli officials responsible for war crimes against civilians in Gaza.
