The Iranian foreign minister emphasized the importance of the IAEA's position and role and praised Grossi's "impartial and professional" leadership.

Amir-Abdollahian also discussed the recent actions taken by the Iranian armed forces against the "aggressor Zionist regime," stating that the inaction of the United Nations Security Council left Iran with no choice but to exercise its legitimate defense based on international law.

Regarding the cooperation between Iran and the IAEA, Amir-Abdollahian highlighted the history of non-compliance on the part of the United States regarding previous agreements on Iran's peaceful nuclear program, and emphasized that the cooperation between Iran and the IAEA should not be influenced by the "unstable and contradictory policy and behavior of Washington."
Rafel Grossi, in his turn, expressed his pleasure with the trip to Tehran and praised Iran's role in restoring stability and security to the region.
