Netanyahu doing its utmost to continue war on Gaza: FM

If the US and other Western parties fulfill their promises and adhere to the ceasefire, everything is ready to establish a lasting ceasefire and resolve the issue, Amir-Abdollahian noted and said: "But Netanyahu and the few extremists on the other side of the equation are doing their utmost to continue the war because a ceasefire could mean a new crisis inside the occupied territories.

Benjamin Netanyahu claimed on Tuesday that the draft ceasefire presented on Monday aimed to stop the Israeli forces from entering Rafah, but it failed.
The intense attacks of the Israeli regime on Rafah continue and the Zionists have turned the city of Rafah into a closed military zone committing genocide in this area. Dozens of people were martyred and injured in these brutal attacks. Many women and children can be seen among the martyrs.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also referred to the recent punitive operation "True Promise" against the Israeli regime and told that the neighboring countries and the American bases in the region were ensured that the True Promise operation was to be carried out to punish the Israeli regime.
He said that Iran carried out the punitive operation against the Israeli regime despite the demands of the regime's allies for refrainment from the response.
"Two days before Iran's operation, the Western states demanded us to not strike too hard and try to reduce the intensity of our operation in case we would respond."
He noted: "The Islamic Republic of Iran itself decided how to strike, from what point, and when to operate, and did was not influenced by others, but at the same time, we told the American and Western sides that the problem roots in the Gaza crisis that should be solved. We need to focus on this issue."
On 1 April 2024, an Israeli airstrike destroyed the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, killing 16 people, including a senior Quds Force commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
