Iran's FM says continuation of targeted US interventions complicates Afghanistan situation
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that the continuation of targeted US interventions in the internal affairs of Afghanistan will make the situation of this country more complicated.

Amir-Abdollahian evaluated the actions of the United Nations in Afghanistan during the past two decades as positive and emphasized the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the continuation of humanitarian activities.
The head of Iran's diplomatic service also referred to the hosting of several million Afghan citizens in Iran and called for the United Nations to pay serious attention to this issue.
Roza Otunbayeva also explained the latest developments and issues of Afghanistan and the upcoming Doha 3rd meeting in Qatar. She also appreciated the good hospitality of the government and people of Iran to Afghan nationals and the efforts made to improve their situation and criticized the indifference of the international community regarding the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) confirmed the complexity of the situation and the process of Afghanistan's developments and emphasized the coordination of diverse and different positions of regional activists to help development and stability in this country.
Roza Otunbayeva also appreciated the importance of the regional initiatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran and welcomed the continuation of Iran's diplomatic efforts within the framework of the neighbors' meeting.
Afghanistan is facing an economic and human crisis caused by twenty years of American military occupation and the resulting war, and this occupation and war have destroyed Afghanistan's economic infrastructure.
The US has blocked about 10 billion dollars of the assets of the Afghan people and embargoed the country after the ignominious withdrawal from Afghanistan at the end of August 2021 and after that after the Taliban came to power in this country under false pretenses.
