EuroMed Rights, a network of 68 human rights organisations, institutions and individuals based in 30 countries across Europe and the Mediterranean region based in Geneva, Switzerland, presented its report at the UN Human Rights Council’s 54th session.

Indeed, the stripping of five women in front of their children, parading them naked around their family home and then stealing their jewellery by an Israeli military unit, was not a random act. It deserves deep reflection, Ramzy Baroud wrote in an article in Middle Ear Manitor.

Called for by the Maryland-based MD 2 Palestine, the activists first gathered in front of the Washington Monument in DC and marched through the busy downtown streets of the city waving Palestinian flags and banners and chanting in support of Palestine, including “No more money for Israel’s crimes”.
