The Iranian Acting President Mohammad Mokhber left Tehran for Astana on Wednesday evening to attend the 24th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
After the tragic helicopter crash that killed Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, Iran’s first vice president Mohammad Mokhber took charges as the acting president for 50 days before the new election introduces the president.
On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Mohammad Mokhber told reporters that the grounds are being prepared for the release of the rest of the country's money blocked elsewhere.
"Our main strategy concerning the sanctions issue is their neutralization and mitigation of their consequences. I assume that it is a very good accumulated experience, and that we can share it with our Russian counterparts," Mokhber said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
