Lebanese Sunni cleric hailed the resistance for its mighty confrontation against the occupiers and arrogant powers counting blind prejudice, foul assets and shaky beliefs as reasons for those who support terrorist groups.

Sheikh Maher Hamoud, head of the Union of Resistance Clerics, said had it not been for the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine battling the occupiers and arrogant powers, that should have been called an end for the Islamic nation and there would have been no hope for return of power and honor, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He stressed necessity of electing efficient and capable people in Lebanon’s city councils and added,” Present situation in Sidon is due to shortcomings of the councils which committed inappropriate acts under the name of Islam and had we performed our religious mission, we should have not been witness to bloodshed and destruction in Sidon and Islam would have not been tarnished by them.”
 
Sheikh Maher Hamoud, referred to support of some groups for terrorist groups and stressed,” Blind prejudice, impure money, intrigues and shaky religious beliefs led these groups to defend terrorists and call them to unite against the government.” and added,” This is while all know that terrorists are all of the same nature to allow bloodshed of the people and destroy mosques.”
 
Lebanese cleric demanded,” How is it possible that claimants of Islam stress unity of terrorists? Are they representatives of Islam, nationalism and honor?”
