Disunity, prime issue for Muslim world
Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, attended the conference on “Russia-Islamic World” in the Chechen capital of Grozny warning against infiltration of Zionist-American moves in decision making centers of the Muslim world and dividing Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” Unfortunately enemies of Islam has made use of its puppets in the world of Islam on the one hand and on the other hand they are benefiting the ignorance and prejudice of some other political and religious figures to turn the minor disagreements between Islamic denominations into hostility, violence, Takfir (excommunication) and bloodshed of Muslims to the point that some so-called leaders of these movements are abstaining any academic dialogue or any effort to build peace and friendship between these views.”

Ayatollah Araki in his speech at the conference in Grozny referred to infiltration of Zionist-American movements in decision making Islamic centers, dispersion of Muslims, distancing from guidelines of holy Qur’an and lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), efforts to marginalize the issue of Palestine and also struggles to distort Islamic awakening movements as some of the most important challenges for the Muslim world.

The cleric also hailed the great economic and political potentialities of the Muslim world as well as friends with whom it shares political interests as some of the capabilities in the world of Islam.

Ayatollah Araki, in the third part of his remarks, counted his proposals for confrontation with threats among them: deepening the understanding of Muslims on each other’s ideas, potentialities and opportunities of Muslim countries and also necessities and issues of each other.

The cleric also called for expansion of cooperation between academic centers and also economic interactions, particularly creating a joint Islamic market, as well as boosting cooperation on Islamic banking.

Increasing political relations between countries and Islamic groups, founding regional and global unions in the Islamic states, expansion of engineering and technical cooperation, boosting social and cultural ties between different Muslim nations across the globe were among other solutions proposed by the Iranian scholar.
