Iran producing 90% of its military demands

A spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics said the country produces 90% of its demands and is among the top ten countries regarding the defense industry technology.

Brigadier General Raza Talaei-Nik made the remarks in an interview with Al Mayadeen TV network on Wednesday, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic has never initiated any conflict; however, the country is determined to spare no effort to protect its sovereignty and security.

Talaei-Nik went on to say that Iran has been among one of the leading 10 states in the world in terms of defense industry technology in recent years.

Iran has been capable of transforming from an importing country to a state, which produces about 90% of its military requirements over the past 45 years, the spokesman noted.

The Islamic Republic is self-sufficient in manufacturing defense equipment, and it can produce state-of-the-art missile, radar, and drone systems.
