At least 16 civilians killed in Israeli strikes on Rafah

At least 16 Palestinian citizens, including nine children, were killed in a wave of attacks by Israeli aerial and artillery strikes in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah.

Eight people, including five children and two women, were killed in an airstrike targeting a home in Rafah. One of the women was pregnant and the doctors managed to save the unborn child.

Additionally, five civilians, including four children, were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted a house on George Street, east of Rafah.

Earlier in the night, three civilians were killed as a result of an Israeli raid that targeted a house in the Shaboura camp in the center of Rafah.

In the meantime, a number of civilians, most of them children, were injured in the bombing by Israeli warplanes of their house in the camp.

Also, in the south of the war-torn strip, the emergency services recovered bodies of 50 Palestinians from a mass grave at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis two weeks after Israeli forces withdrew from the area.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has resulted in 34,049 documented Palestinian fatalities so far, with the majority being children and women. In addition, 76,901 injuries have been documented since the start of the onslaught, with thousands still trapped under the rubble.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 34,049 Palestinians have been killed, and 76,901 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7. Another 7,000 people are still trapped under the rubble.
