Palestinian factions hold US, West responsible for any invasion, carnage in Rafah

The Palestinian resistance factions have said that the Israeli occupation regime’s “genocidal war on everything symbolizing the Palestinian identity throughout the occupied territories will not restore the prestige of its army, which was defeated at the hands of the resistance during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023.”

In a statement on Wednesday, the factions held the US administration and the West fully responsible for any Israeli ground invasion of Rafah in southern Gaza and any resultant carnage in the area.

“There is complete coordination with the US administration regarding the military plans to invade Rafah; therefore, these international parties and institutions will be complicit in any crimes committed in the city,” the factions said.

The factions pointed out that the Palestinians in Rafah already suffers from catastrophic living conditions and are exposed to intense bombardment and ongoing massacres by the Israeli occupation army.

The factions warned that any invasion of Rafah would jeopardize the entire region, especially Egypt’s national security due to its geographical ties with Gaza.

The factions called on the Arab and Islamic countries and the world’s free countries and nations to take serious action to stop the Israeli aggression against Gaza and break the siege imposed on its population.

“The resistance will not stand idly by and it is prepared for any scenario, including the invasion of Rafah, so all options are open to it without exception to protect its people and foil the occupation’s plans,” the factions said.
