Iran’s key role in counter-terrorism movements

Prominent Shia cleric hailed the key role of Iran in confrontation with terrorism calling all countries to join the endeavor.
Iran’s key role in counter-terrorism movements
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum, said the role of Iran in counter-terrorism efforts have been an influential one though had other countries had joined Iran in the move, we could have been witness to better results now, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the coalition formed by Saudi Arabia to confront terrorism and said,” Iran is different from the Arab kingdom due to the difference in ideological values pursued by each country and that is the reason some countries will not easily join us in a counter-terrorism campaign.” adding,” Saudi Arabia tempts its allies with money while its allies are in fact standing loyal because of the US as well as UK and the power of their allies.”

The cleric also called for more efforts to introduce international bodies with terrorist attacks in Iran and showing the country as a victim of terrorism through publication of books, articles and statements in the international communities.

He referred to 17’000 of terror victims in Iran and called all people including families of the victims to probe into the issue and bring the perpetrators to justice.
