Terrorism in pursuit of tarnishing image of Islam

Sheikh Sharid Tahan al Shouli, member of the Scholars’ Council of Palestine, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to importance of Islamic unity in view of God Almighty and hailed initiation of late Imam Khomeini (RA) in naming the week between Shia and Sunni quote of Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) birth anniversary as Islamic Unity Week in an attempt to clear disagreements between Shia and Sunni communities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Member of Palestinian Council of Scholars extended gratitude for the Supreme Leader over the annual Islamic Unity Conference and demanded all Muslim states to hold similar events.

Al Shouli slammed Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey as agents for many disagreements and spread of terrorism and extremism in the Islamic countries and said,” Here we demand these countries and other Islamic states not to pursue disagreement and disintegration of the region and leave disuniting measures.”

Member of the Muslim Scholars’ Council of Lebanon referred to terrorist measures to be in full contrast with Islam and denounced supporters of terrorism saying,” Some oppressive rulers are in pursuit of disintegrating Arab and Islamic countries and tarnish the image of Islam.”
