'Returning to Islamic principles revives unity': AYat. Araki

"Returning to Quranic and Islamic principles can revive Muslims' unity," pointed out the Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought.

Giving speech in Shia Seminary of Nazemiye Lakhanov in India, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought placed emphasis on the true Islamic teachings noting," returning to true Islam, Quranic principles and teachings of Mohammad Prophet's (PBUH) Household can lead society to unity," reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Congratulating seminary students and instructors on the birthdate anniversary of Imam Sajjad (PBUH), the seasoned cleric mentioned the infallible Imam gave his life over to countering corruptions and misbeliefs in the Islamic society.

"What revive Muslims' unity and solidarity," according to Ayatollah Araki, "is understanding Islamic principles and Quranic teachigns."

To the Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, lack of unity among Muslims is the main reason behind the current problems and crises that face the Islamic world.

In his line, unity and proximity among Muslims is the only remedy to problems from which both Shia and Sunni Muslims are suffering and if Muslims want to overcome the existing crises in the Islamic world, they have no choice, but to foster unity in the societies.

Emphasizing that Muslims need to take advantage of the power of Islam and reinforce their unity, the president of Iran top unity center added, “based on that, the late Imam Khomeini (RA) urged Muslims to unity.”

In his term, after the late founder of Islamic revolution, Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei took the same stance and called for boosting unity among Muslims from all sects in the World of Islam.
