Pro-Palestine vigil held in London

People have gathered outside the British prime minister’s office and laid flowers in memory of innocent Palestinians killed by Israel in the besiged Gaza Strip, Press TV reports.

The two-hour vigil was held outside David Cameron’s office in London on Tuesday.

“Our message is to the prime minster… that these horrendous war crimes of Israel have to stop… these war crimes have to be immediately stopped,” a participant in the vigil told Press TV correspondent.

A Gazan protester, whose family is still in Gaza said, “The Israeli army called them several times… to evacuate (their house), and when they went to another house they asked them to leave there too, so I don’t know where they are supposed to live. And sometimes I’m even scared to try and call them, because I don’t want to hear bad news, like I’m expecting bad news all the time.”

So far, at least 1,232 people have been killed and thousands of others injured by the Israeli regime’s offensive against the coastal sliver despite pressure from the international community.

Israeli warplanes have been carrying out incessant airstrikes against the blockaded Gaza Strip since July 8. On July 17, thousands of Israeli soldiers launched a ground incursion into the densely-populated strip.
