Blood donation, tradition in respect to Imam Hussein (AS) on Day of Ashura (photo)

Iranians in the city of Isfahan donate blood on the Day of Ashura, in respect to the great sacrifice by Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who gave up his life to reform Islam and stand against oppression of the then tyrant ruler Yazid ibn-Muawiyah.
