Ashura Taziyeh (passion play) performed on Tehran streets (photo)

As part of annual Muharram mourning ceremonies, Taziyeh or passion play showing the Battle of Karbala was performed on streets in Tehran on the Day of Ashura marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
