Muharram passion play held in Sayyidah Zaynab town, Syria (photo)

Located in Rif Dimashq Governorate of Syria, Sayyidah Zaynab (or Set Zaynab) hosts passion play on martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Shia Muslims across globe marked the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein who was martyred together with 72 of his companions and family members in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
