Tehran hosts art event on Muharram (photo)

More than 80 painters and artists attended the “Emblem of Love” event held in the Iranian capital ahead of the mourning month of Muharram. The participants created urban decorations with the theme Muharram which marks the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (AS) and 72 of his companions in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD.
