Arba’een pilgrims from southern Iraq set off for Karbala (photo)

The people in Iraqi southwest city of Ra’as al-Bisheh in Basra have begun a 20-day-march for the holy city of Karbala to attend the Arbaeen mourning procession. It is a tradition for the pilgrims to walk part of or the entire way to the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) to attend the annual ceremony.
