“Turkey measures in Idlib, breach of int’l standards”, analyst

Jafar Ghanadbashi, Iranian political analyst, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related on measures taken by Turkey in Idlib and the reason behind Ankara’s efforts in the Arab country.

He said,” Turkey has opened its borders to refugees heading for Europe as thousands of migrants are kept behind Greece borders.

He added,” This is Ankara’s way to win European support for its military interference in Idlib, a leverage which has frequently used is the past years even making finances as the European Union (EU) has financially helped Turkey to prevent flow of migrants to the European bloc.”

Jafar Ghanadbashi noted,” Opening the gates could also refer to issues related to Syria as Turkey in opening its borders and using a leverage of fear against the refugees, is in fact confessing to its failure in Idlib and aborting Syrian army operation in the region.”

“Turkey has struggled to continue its policies regarding Idlib, policies mainly interfering and opposite to the international standards” said the political analyst and added,” Turkey has intruded into Syrian soil ignoring the Damascus sovereignty which means three international crimes in a bid to prevent liberation of Idlib Province.”

He slammed Turkey for its support for terrorists since Turkey aborts efforts to liberate the Syrian province of Idlib from terrorist groups, implicitly supporting the US and Zionist regime who pursue settlement of the terrorists and guaranteeing security for Tel Aviv regime.”
