Iranian cleric calls for unified rallies on International Quds Day

A senior Iranian cleric at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has called for massive rallies on the upcoming International Quds Day amid Israeli escalation in besieged Gaza and occupied West Bank.

Molavi Es’haq Madani, the chairman of Supreme Council at WFPIST hailed as a ‘tactful’ initiation by late Imam Khomeini who designated the last Friday in Ramadan as the International Quds Day stressing that the occasion must be especially marked due to the ongoing developments in Palestine, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The cleric said,” We are witness to the massacre of the civilians and disarmed people, most of them women and children, who have been suffering crimes by the US and Israeli regime.”
 
Molavi Madani highlighted importance of unity on Quds Day saying,” Such crimes could be committed only by blood-thirsty and inhumane people.”
 
He concluded that Palestine and holy al-Quds belong to the entire world of Islam; hence, it should be maintained as top priority of the Islamic nation.
