Interim prayer leader of the Sunni community in Iran’s Kurdistan Province congratulated world Muslims on approach of Ramadan calling the holy month as another opportunity for solidarity among Muslims.

Mamusta Mohammad Amin Rasti, member of the council for religious studies of Sunnis in Sanandaj, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) said Almighty God introduced the holy month of Ramadan as month for solidarity and boosting fraternal relations among Muslims.
Top cleric highlighted importance of convergence and solidarity in the Islamic nation and said,” Muslims unanimously begin marking the fasting month of Ramadan and celebrate its end with Eid al-Fitr and that will lead to strengthening of their fraternity and unity.”
Mamusta Rasti expressed hope that Muslims transcend their relations with unity, compassion and piety and also uniting in confrontation with the enemies.
The fasting month of Ramadan will commence on Wednesday and Thursday March 22, 23 according to the time zone each country is located.
Muslims abstain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk during Ramadan. They will particularly endeavor Qur’an reading, prayers and charity activities during the fasting month.
