A senior Iranian cleric hailed the Islamic Revolution for honoring both Shia and Sunni communities and that the popular uprising turned the pre-revolution villeins to post-revolution citizens.

Molavi Abdul Qahhar Mirbalouch Zehi, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Mirjaveh in southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) highlighted the spirituality and religious ambiance of the Islamic Revolution that held the great movement, popular in the hearts and minds of the Iranian people at home and across the globe, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric said,” Islamic Revolution in Iran revived the honor of both Shia and Sunni Iranians since it promoted the pre-revolution villeins into post-revolution citizens.”
He praised the unity among different ethnicities and denominations as a great gain for the Iranian nation after the Islamic Revolution.
“Sustained security is an achievement of the Islamic Revolution” said the senior Iranian cleric to reiterate security as another gain of the 1978 Islamic Revolution.
Molavi Mirbalouch Zehi stressed importance of clarifying the achievements after the Islamic Revolution for the younger generation as a mission for all religious scholars.
