Iran to host eastern neighbors in 4th regional Islamic unity conference
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said it will hold the fourth edition of the regional Islamic unity conference in October.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his speech at the press briefing held ahead of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference announced that the fourth regional Islamic Unity Conference is scheduled to be held in Razavi Khorasan Province with prominent Shia and Sunni scholars in attendance, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric said elites and intellectuals from different Iranian cities and the eastern neighboring countries naming Afghanistan, Pakistan and India will participate in the conference.
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has already held three editions of the conference in three Sunni-inhibited cities and co-hosted two similar meetings in Iraq.
The center also organizes the Islamic Unity Conference which is annually held concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
The 38th edition of the conference will be officially held in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19 with hundreds of Muslim scholars from across the world in attendance.
The participants to the upcoming conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue" will exchange views on the ongoing issues challenging the world of Islam but the focus of the meeting will be on Palestine and the incessant Israeli atrocities across the besieged Gaza Strip.
