Human dignity, common pursuit of Muslims, non-Muslims defending Palestine objective
The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said the concept of human dignity is what led millions of Muslims and non-Muslims to rise in pro-Palestine protests across the globe.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in an interview broadcasted live on Iranian state television on Sunday, warned against division as a strategy constantly sought by the enemies of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA
He referred to the minor sectarian and tribal differences in Iran that provide the grounds for the enemies to hatch plots and expressed hope that the Islamic Unity Conference will be effective in preventing such hostile plots.
He warned that such divisive plots might range from desecration of holy Qur’an, dividing Shia and Sunni communities or Iranophobia plots; therefore, the focus of the Islamic Unity Conference would also vary based on the issues challenging Muslims.
The senior cleric referred to the ongoing Israeli massacre of the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip that has so far killed more than 40,000 civilians, most of them women and children and said,” As we see, Muslims and non-Muslims have reacted to this massacre because what is shared by all of them is human dignity.”
He called on the world people to join hands and prevent the ongoing atrocities in the occupied Palestine saying,” Not only the world of Islam but the entire liberal nations across the globe are calling for justice for Palestinians.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari also referred to the upcoming Islamic Unity Conference which is scheduled to be held on September 19-21 with hundreds of Shia and Sunni elites from across the globe, 140 of them Iranians.
He said that the issue of Palestine, amid the relentless Israeli onslaughts on the besieged Gaza Strip, is a focal point in this conference and it is hoped that more countries severe their relations with the Israeli regime in line with defending the Palestinians in the besieged strip.
