Iran documentary to compete at Italian film festival
Iranian documentary High Hopes directed by Keivan Majidi has entered the film lineup of the 19th edition of Film Festival della Lessinia (FFDL) in Italy.

The movie features the life of an old man and his daughter who live in Uramanat, a mountainous land in Kurdistan province.
The film depicts the old man’s attempts for changing the high land into a grape orchard.
The 26-minute film, High Hopes has been screened in several international events such as the 2012 Jahorina International Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Lessinia Film Festival is the only Italian cinematographic competition that presents various screen productions of animation, Children, Docu-feature, Documentary, Narrative fiction dedicated to mountains and faraway lands.
The 2013 Lessinia film festival is programmed to take place from August 24 to September 1.
