Iran and Pakistan are scheduled to hold a Qur’an festival in Pakistan city of Rawalpindi to stress Tehran-Islamabad ties and mark the holy month of Ramadan.

Iran’s Cultural Center in Rawalpindi, the country’s Cultural Council in Islamabad, Iran-Pakistan Research Center for Persian Language and the Arts Council of Rawalpindi are scheduled to hold Qur’an festival on 18-22 July, 9-13 of Ramadan, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
In this festival which will be attended by Iranian cultural organizations in Pakistan and cultural and artistic departments of Pakistan, an exhibition of some precious volumes of Qur’an and Qur’anic handicrafts will be held.
Calligraphy of Qur’anic verses is another part of the festival besides Qur’an competition for women and recitation of the holy book of Islam by some prominent Qur’an reciters.
