"Farhang Qur'an" (Dictionary of Qur'an), the most comprehensive dictionary of Qur'anic meanings is published by the Center for Culture and Teachings of Qur'an in the holy city of Qom.
Hujjatul Islam Mohammad Sadeq Yousefi Moqadam, a scholar and researcher of the project noted that the culture of Qur'an is a universal culture and said, "Any kind of prejudice has been avoided so that the followers of all Islamic schools of thought can use the book."
"The research was actually beyond Iranian nation and could be used by the Muslims from around the world," the cleric said according to Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the revision made over "Culture of Qur'an" as one of the recent projects of the center in Qom and said despite the importance of the project and that it has recently finished, there has been criticism and feedbacks."
The cleric said "The revision of the book is certainly on top of the agenda to maintain the quality."
Qur'anic researcher of Qom also said that it was possible to add to the entries and phrases or the content becomes subject to edition and correction."
He praised the project as the achievement of a 15-year strive of dozens of researchers.
Qur'an, as the holy book of Muslims has been the topic for hundreds of books and many dictionaries and exegesis have been written on that.
The recent dictionary of the holy book of Islam however remains one of the most valuable in its covering of the phrases and comprehensiveness of entries.
