Ramadan, holy Qur’an unifying factors in Muslim world
Professor of Sunni seminary counted Ramadan and the holy book revealed in this month as unifying factors in the world of Islam referring to fraternity as a key basis in Islam.

Hafez Zein-ul-Abedin Qadiri, senior Iranian scholar from Chenarli Sunni seminary in Chenarli, Golestan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to Qur’an verses recommending solidarity among Muslims and hailed the fasting month of Ramadan as opportunity to practice Islamic unity.
He referred to Qur’an verses recommending solidarity among Muslims and said,” Ramadan and the holy book of Islam are the factors that unite Muslims because Islamic unity is derived from piety as Ramadan also aims to boost Muslims’ piety.”
The Iranian cleric alluded to Qur’an verses stressing importance of unity among Muslims.
He also called fraternity as basis of Islam and said,” We should all struggle for prevalence of Unitarianism.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar and a key commonality among Muslims from all denominations. Muslims fast in this month refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk. Ramadan is also a time especially spent with prayer and Qur’an recitation.
