“Poverty leads to cultural poverty,” Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Reyshahri quoted from Imam Sadeq (PBUH), according to Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Grand Ayatollah has said, “High expenditures and inflation cause corruption in the society.”

He highlighted the import role of Economical Jihad in removing corruption in the society and said,” Economic Jihad in the society paves the ground for cultural Jihad.”

“So the economic Jihad can be regarded as the cultural Jihad,” the Grand Ayatollah underlined.

“Considering the fact that the Islamic revolution of Iran is a cultural revolution, economic Jihad in this system plays an import role and lets us follow our goals and accomplish them in the near future.” 

The Economic Jihad is the name of the current Iranian year designated by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, where the Iranian government, nation roll up sleeves for an economic and industrial boom.
