Ayatollah Taskhiri laid to rest in holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS)

In a ceremony held on Thursday, the body of top Shia cleric and advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, was laid to rest in the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) on Thursday, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The ceremony which was held amid health protocols against the new coronavirus began from Qom No Mosque with a number of people paying tribute to the top Islamic unity figure.
Bureau of the Supreme Leader in collaboration with the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and a number of other organizations will hold a memorial ceremony after Isha prayer in Fayziyeh School, holy city of Qom.
An online memorial service is also scheduled to be held on Friday August 21. Late Ayatollah Taskhiri was globally respected due to long years of endeavor for promoting Islamic teachings and Muslim solidarity.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, aged 76, passed away due to heart disease in a hospital in Tehran on Tuesday.
