Omani senior mufti has called on Muslims to contemplate Islamic unity expressing regret over conflict among some Muslim states.

Sheikh Ahmad bin Hamad Al Khalili, grand mufti of the Sultanate of Oman highlighted Islamic solidarity as an important issue urging Muslims to ponder Islamic unity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Top Omani cleric noted that solidarity among Muslims should command different aspects of their life including the social and political arena.
"Spiritual tie which is a divine relation is in fact a guarantee to link the people" said the senior mufti and added," Almighty God addresses all Muslims beyond their denominations, gender, complexion or race as people are ranked based on their piety."
Sheikh Ahmad Al Khalili called on Muslims to think deeper on Islamic unity and expressed regret over the present bloodshed in the world of Islam.
He said," It is necessary that Muslims cooperate in line with promoting unity" urging Muslims to stay optimist on future of Muslim world.
Omani mufti also regretted that Muslims have been a target for hardest attacks in the history of Islam.
