Iran's Islamic unity center to hold summit on Gen. Soleimani

Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has scheduled to hold meeting on General Qassem Soleimani in the wake of the first martyrdom anniversary of the top counter-terrorism figure assassinated by US in January 2020.

The top Islamic unity body in Iran has announced its plan to hold meeting on "General Soleimani, General of Resistance, Peace and Unity of Islamic Nation" on Wednesday January 20, 2021 as the top Shia and Sunni figures as well as representatives of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) at the headquarter of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Ali Mohammadi Sirat, representative of the Supreme Leader in IRGC Quds Force, Hussein Akbari, secretary of Islamic Awakening Forum, Molavi Es'haq Madani, deputy of the Supreme Council at the World Forum and Mamusta Aziz Baba'ei, Friday prayer leader of Sunni community in western Tehran are among participants to the meeting on General Soleimani.
 
The Wednesday meeting co-sponsored by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps will be broadcasted live.
