Algiers mosques help with vaccination against COVID-19
Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments in Algeria has called on mosques in the capital to help with plans for vaccination of people against COVID-19.

Youcef Belmehdi, Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments in Algieria, announced the country is encouraging people for vaccination against COVID-19 in a new plan to vaccinate people at mosques in the capital of the country, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” Mosques in the capital Algiers have admitted medical teams in order to encourage people for vaccination against COVID-19.”
He stressed that the plan for launching vaccination centers in mosques is to inform the people on importance of receiving the jab to help battle against the pandemic infection.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments in Algeria has issued a statement addressing the orators and prayer leaders to encourage the people for vaccination since prevention is better than cure.
There is no specific data on the number of vaccinated people in Algeria though the Interior Ministry in the country is seriously pursuing the plan for COVID vaccination in line with other countries.
