"Ashura International Foundation calls on Pakistani and Nigerian officials to arrest and punish those behind the crime against Ashura mourners. It also demands the two governments to protect the mosques, Husseinia and mourning rallies during Muharram and take security measures to prevent any terror attack", reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Part of the statement by Iranian foundations reads," Two horrible incidents happening simultaneously with the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein and his companions in the Battle of Karbala prove continuity of Takfiri and sectarian ideology in these two countries."
It slammed the enemies of Islam and their puppets for misusing the Takfiri fighters to destroy the ambiance of peace and unity among Muslims.
The Iranian foundation also called on the international bodies and human rights organizations not to stand silent in the case of the terrorist attack against followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS) in Pakistan and Nigeria and take necessary legal measures to fight the perpetrators, organizers, sponsors and financial supporters of the Takfiri groups as well as anti-Islamic forces in Nigeria's army.
At least three people have lost their lives and more than 50 others wounded in a bomb blast at Muharram procession in central Pakistan.
In another incident in Nigerian town of Sokoto, at least three people were killed and a dozen more were seriously wounded in a police attack on Ashura mourners on Thursday.
