Huj. Shahriari offers condolences over demise of Ayat. Shabestari

Secretary General of World Forum for Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a message to express condolences over passing of prominent scholar and member of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Mojtahedi Shabestari.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, senior Iranian cleric in his message issued following the demise of the prominent cleric called the late Muslim scholar as a pro-Revolution and a devoted soldier for jurisprudence, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He referred to the great services by the late scholar Ayatollah Shabestari for Islam and Muslims during the years he served as representative of the Supreme Leader in Eastern Azerbaijan and leadership of Friday prayers in Tabriz.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari also hailed the endeavors of the late scholar in scientific, cultural and social arenas and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family, students and colleagues of the late scholar.
 
Prominent Shia cleric and politician was a member of the Assembly of Experts for five terms and also a member of the country's Expediency Council.
 
The cleric passed away on Wednesday November 17 and his body was laid to rest in the holy city of Qom.
