Huj. Shahriari condemns terrorist attack in Imam Reza (AS) shrine
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has issued a message to condemn the recent terrorist attack at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) stressing that such measures are inhumane viewpoints which go against Qur'anic teachings.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari censured the recent stabbing attack at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) targeting three clerics and stressed these measures have no justification in teachings of the different Islamic denominations, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Senior scholar slammed enemies of Islam for bringing a great pain for the unified Islamic ummah (nation) in stabbing attack against three clerics at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) and said," This provocative move, besides intrigues for similar measures to desecrate Islamic denominations and ethnicities remind us of heinous plots for Takfir (excommunication) and division in the world of Islam."
He warned of hostile plots to disintegrate the Islamic countries in order to loot the natural resources and Muslim world assets for the benefit of the colonial powers and carry out US-led intelligent services across the globe.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted," These moves which stem in anti-Islamic and inhumane views go against Qur'anic teachings and lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and are not justified in teachings of different Islamic denominations.
"The deviate terrorists are fed by poisonous and divisive maneuvers of enemies and are undoubtedly induced from somewhere beyond the Islamic beliefs of scholars and Muslims" noted the cleric.
World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has called on the security and judiciary officials for immediate probe into the issue and also carrying out preventive measures.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari also urged the Shia and Sunni scholars to continue promotion of Islamic unity and the people to stand vigilant against hostile plots by enemies.
A foreign assailant attacked three clerics at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad on Tuesday. Two of the clerics have succumbed to their wounds and the assailant was immediately arrested after the attack.
Four other people have been also arrested in relation with the stabbing attack and investigations are underway to shed more light on the incident.
