Cleric calls Islamic parliaments, universities to voice support for Palestine

Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, attending the international conference on "Holy Quds, Axis of Islamic Unity" held on the sideline of the 29^th International Qur'an Exhibition highlighted the key points regarding the International Quds Day and issue of Palestine, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said," The historical call by late Imam Khomeini (RA) totally undermined the plots by world arrogant powers to eliminate countries from the world map."

According to the cleric the move by late Imam Khomeini (RA) spread the issue of Palestine and holy Quds turning it to the major concern for the Islamic countries.

Ayatollah Akhtari highlighted the potentiality of the world Muslims and their solidarity on the issue of Palestine and said," At present al-Quds is the axis of unity among us" adding," Palestinian groups endeavored to liberate al-Quds for long years but they did not make achievements because there was no solidarity and support for that."

Head of the committee supporting Islamic revolution by Palestinian people counted proper media coverage of the incidents in Palestine as a way to confront Israel.

He said," Zionist media and the mainstream media endeavor to provide an inverted image of the issues in Palestine and to show Israelis as the oppressed nation; therefore, the elites and scholars should provide complete media coverage of the incidents in the occupied Palestinian lands and publish the reality of the issue of Palestine."

The cleric also demanded the parliaments and universities in the Islamic countries to support the Palestinian people by expressing the truth.
