Major General Hossein Salami on Thursday evening at the closing ceremony of the IRGC National Holy Quran Competition in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (as) added: "Nuclear weapons have no place as a means of killing and such a logic to face the enemy is not acceptable to Islam."
He said: "But the Leader takes such a stand in the face of the great powers that have nuclear weapons and forbids the weapon of mass destruction in order to comply with the divine revelations. These show that he was trained in the presence of the Qur'an."
The top commander said that the IRGC should be the manifestation of the Qur'an and its protector, just as the IRGC seek to implement justice and jihad in the way of God.
The IRGC support the divine lines, so the IRGC must know the Qur'an well, and the IRGC must be aware of charity, jihad, the rules of worship, all of which are in the Qur'an.
The commander of the IRGC noted: “The Qur'an is a continuous revelation, it is not that this Qur'an was revealed at a time, it is a permanent revelation and healing and mercy.”
He stated: “The Qur'an is the clear truth that guides us from darkness, ignorance and slavery to the light and faith.”
