Programs for birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS) announced
The holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) has announced the programs to commemorate the birth anniversary of eighth Shia Imam and his sister Hazrat Masoumeh (AS).

On the eve of the birth anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), eighth Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), the holy shrine has announced 14 special programs reportedly scheduled to mark the birth auspicious occasion on Saturday June 11.
Hossein Shariatinejad, deputy head of the General Directorate for Islamic Ideology Dissemination said, “Holy Prophet Courtyard of the shrine will be a scene of “Rezvan Glory” celebrations for nine nights,”
He added, “Quran and eulogy recitations, poem readings, and different programs introducing Imam Reza’s (AS) character are some programs of these celebrations”.
Martyrs will be marked in a ceremony concurrent with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS).
On that occasion, also known as Girls' Day, special programs will be held for teenage girls.
According to him, running different study stations and offering various cultural services to the people with disabilities in cooperation with Mashhad Municipality are among other cultural programs on the occasion.
Touching upon the importance of ‘Jihad of elaboration’ for Imam Reza shrine’s officials, Shariatinejad noted: “Ten meetings titled “Imam Reza’s political and social school” special for the elites, will be held every day in Jomhuri Eslami Courtyard of the holy shrine”.
Concluding his remarks, the official said: “Celebrations will end in a special program titled ‘Rezvan Glory’ held by custodians of the holy shrines in Iraq on the night of Imam Reza’s birth anniversary.
